Balance oil was the first experience I had with the plants that helped me with coming out of the hectic loop in my head and back into my body.
I remember how much I lived in a state of overwhelm and feeling perpetually anxious, about literally everything.
And applying Balance to my wrists, the back of my neck and soles of my feet, gave me room to breathe, slowed things down and grounded me in.
I gave Adam Barralet a buzz to find out more about some of the oils in this blend that I knew less about, he was very generous in sharing his knowledge with me, check out Gifts of the Essential Oils book by Adam and Vanessa for more info, some of the below is paraphrased from that book.
What is in Balance?
Balance is a beautiful, naturally dyed, deep greeny/blue blend of-
Spruce the spruce in Balance is Picea Marinara which is Black Spruce – a very calming and relaxing oil when inhaled, Picea Marinara is a reference to Mother Mary, so using this oil is like receiving a big hug from Mother Mary, if you fly over a forest of black spruce it’s like flying over a field of stars, creating wonderment and opening you to the unlimited possibilities available to you.
Ho Wood– is very high in linalool, studies show that this is a deeply relaxing oil. Ho Wood can assist you in terms of having the willpower to choose and do what deeply nourishes you, to break old destructive habits, and choose anew. Ho Wood also taps you into the strength of your heart, rather than a strength that stems from rigidity, this oil reminds that when you lead from your heart, anything is possible, that things can be achieved from a peaceful, tranquil state, this oil helps you complete tasks with greater ease and flow.
Frankincense– the oil of truth, deeply grounding, connection to truth/source, balancing for the nervous system, calming, meditative. Frankincense reminds us of our magnificence and that our greatest gifts are in our vulnerability. When fear or contraction come up, Frankincense supports you to remember that this too shall pass and to be able to dance with life and the ever changing nature of the human experience. Frankincense also reminds you that in order to do your greatest work it is essential that you also take time to rest, rejuvenate and to simply be.
Blue Tansy– this oil has such a beautiful, cobalt blue natural colour, the oil of inspired action, connects you with your dreams, your souls ambitions, gets rid of all the shoulds and external expectations and connects you deeply with who you are and what you truly desire, she brings relaxation and gives your dreams space to unfurl from this calm space.
Blue Chamomile– deeply calming, creates emotional harmony, supports the ability to think differently and open yourself up to new adventures and ways of being. Blue chamomile whispers- hey, we get to do things differently, we don’t have to keep repeating this same old shit. We are done with that. This is the thing. This is how it gets to be now. Helps you live by your true, inner knowing. Not anyone else’s. Just yours. Brings peace and harmony into your world.
Osmanthus is distilled from soft yellow flowers and is very sacred. Osmanthus is deeply soothing for emotions and is potent in terms of transformational healing, this oils helps us discover, respect and understand the need for both light and dark, pleasure and pain, love and loss, creation and destruction, the lesson is that healing does not come through avoiding all pain, but from accepting and embracing the full gamut of being an actual human on earth and the allness that comes with that.
Osmanthus is also an oil of new love, if you wish to invite romance into your life, use this, it will help you attract someone that resonates with your vibration, help you return to your heart and learn to dance with exploring life with someone special.
When I tune into Balance
This is what comes through for me..
Balance reminds you to come into stillness, silence and to connect your roots into the earth.
To sink down deep into your own inner knowing.
To stop asking for everyone else’s opinion about your life and concerning yourself with what anyone else thinks.
And to root down into your truth. For you.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or lacking clarity and direction, use Balance to support you in finding stillness, certainty and clarity from within.
When life feels like it’s trying to force you to rush, to keep pace, to entertain overwhelm and distraction.
When you feel flustered and like you’re in a pressure cooker of external expectations.
Use Balance to come back home to yourself, to return to a slower, settled, more peaceful pace that feels good for you.
There is no rush, Balance teaches you that growth takes time, to have the patience of a slow growing tree.
To breathe and just be.
