Here’s how to earn money with doTERRA! We have the most generous compensation plan on the planet, and products people fall in love with, creating amazing customer retention and a foundation for long term residual income.
Don’t worry if this feels a little overwhelming and you struggle to understand it at first, it took me about 9 months to understand all the different ways we get paid, just go over this once a month and more and more will sink in, commit to learning but WHILE you’re learning, focus on enrolling people, getting people on loyalty rewards and helping others do the same, know the compensation plan is incredibly generous and speak to your upline about where to place people so you get paid the most short and long term.
There are multiple ways to get paid.
Below are the average earnings at each “rank” or level in doTERRA.
Qualify for Commissions
In order to qualify for commissions you need to place a 100pv (product value) loyalty rewards order each month. We have the most generous loyalty program on earth, doTERRA invests over 300 million a year in free product to their loyal customers. Watch this video to understand the loyalty rewards program.
The best part is you can use your commissions to pay for this order! If you’ve just enrolled in doTERRA, set up your 100pv loyalty rewards order for next month, your card will not be charged until it ships and you are now ready to start earning straight away! Make sure your order ALWAYS sits above 100pv in the system so that when weekly and monthly bonuses are being paid out the system can recognise that you qualify for commissions and ensure you get paid.

Product Value
Because this is a global company open in 28 international markets, things need to work off a global product value.
Each kit or individual product is assigned pv. You can see the pv as well as wholesale prices in Aus and NZ, savings and % off of some of our most popular kits below.
New customer can also open a doTERRA account by paying $35 for a wholesale membership, but the $35 is waived with ANY of our starter kits so it’s definitely the smartest way to buy.

Enrollership vs Sponsorship
The enroller is whoever introduced the person to doTERRA/invited them to an event/shared samples and directly signs them up. The enroller will receive fast start commissions for this.
The sponsor is the person you PLACE them under for structure, po3 and to create volume in a specific leg to rank advance, sponsoring them under someone will benefit that person for po3 and volume for them to rank. They will not receive fast start commissions as they did not enroll them.
You have until the 10th of the following month to change the sponsor and move a new enrollment, go to team, sponsor change to do this.
Please speak to your upline about strategies for placement so they can help you structure your team so you get paid as much as possible.
Fast Start
Fast start is paid weekly and is paid out to each generation of enroller.
If I go out and sign Daniel up, I will receive 20% of whatever Daniel orders in his first 60 days of being a customer (after 60 days I get paid unilevel for his orders).
So say he orders a Household Care Starter Pack (400pv) I will get 20% which is AUD $80, then he orders 200pv on his loyalty rewards the following month, I will receive $40 for this order.
Then Daniel decides to share doTERRA too and he enrolls his friend Sandra with a Home Essentials Kit (210pv), Daniel will receive $42 for Sandra’s order (20%), and because I enrolled Daniel, I will receive 10% for Sandra’s order which is $21, even though I didn’t introduce Sandra, Daniel did, I still receive commission for this order, to reward me for introducing Daniel, see how we start to get paid on a TEAM effort (not just ours).
Then Sandra decides to share with her sister, Stella, Stella orders a Nature’s Solutions Kit (400pv), Sandra will receive 20% commission- $80, Daniel will receive 10% commission- $40 and I will receive 5% commission- $20.
Imagine this happening across your team, long term, forever.
Example there are 40,000 people in my downline (team) I introduced maybe 500 or so of these people, but then they introduced others, who introduced others, who introduced others and so on, over time this is significant and even short term, this is cash flow to you!
Power of Three
This bonus is all about rewarding you for helping people take advantage of our incredibly generous loyalty rewards program and choosing a wellness lifestyle.
You want to have people who are keen to build a business with you on your frontline, that is PRIME REAL ESTATE, so if it takes you a little longer to build PO3 it will be worth the wait long term.
You must be on 100pv LRP and have three people on your frontline on 100pv LRP and an overall team volume between you and your frontline of 600pv, so it can be helpful to have a customer or two on your frontline as well to meet this volume quota. Each month you achieve this you will receive an extra bonus of USD$50 a month or approx AUD$79 a month.
Then it’s all about duplication, help your three people get three people on their frontline on 100pv LRP with 600pv of team volume between them and their frontline, they receive the USD$50 bonus, and YOU receive USD$250 a month or approx AUD $395.
Next help those people duplicate and each of them help 3 people place a 100pv LRP and have a team volume of 600pv between them and their frontline, receive a bonus each month of USD$1500 or approx AUD$2300 a MONTH, that is seriously life changing residual income right there and that’s just through ONE of the bonus structures.
Unilevel
After someone has been enrolled for 60 days you switch from getting paid fast start for their orders to receiving unilevel. It doesn’t matter who enrolled the people in your organisation, whether it was you or someone else, you will receive unilevel commission, how deep you get paid will depend on your rank, you can receive up to 7 levels deep with dynamic compression once you are ranking at Silver and above, this means that if someone doesn’t order it will skip them and look for the next person above to pay out to. You don’t really need to understand this fully, just know that over time this will be a HUGE component of your residual income cheque.
Leadership Pools
Once you start achieving higher ranks, doTERRA will pay you out shares on the GLOBAL commissionable volume of the company, you can also earn additional shares and empowerment bonuses. These fluctuate slightly depending on sales, but are fairly stable, I have given averages on each rank throughout the rest of this post, based on a 12 month average so you get a clear representation of what’s possible.
Elite
While Elite is 3000 OV ANYWHERE in your business why not start as you mean to go and set up your structure for Premier and Silver.

Premier
Always think about the rank ahead. While Premier you require two personally enrolled Executives with 2000pv each in different legs, the 5000 OV can be anywhere in your team, why not start that in a third leg to start looking towards Silver.

Silver- where you start to seriously supplement/replace your income
Everything is based on duplication, in order to get to Silver, you need to help three personally enrolled builders in separate legs, achieve the rank of Elite, which is 3000 OV.

Each month you hit Silver AND personally enroll someone at least one person with a minimum 100pv order you will also receive the EMPOWERMENT BONUS worth on average USD$181 approx AUD$281.
PLUS every month you hit Silver receive a share of the leadership performance pool worth on average USD$141 approx. AUD$218.
